The Role
As our Senior Sourcing Executive, you'll be the link between our creative ideas and the brilliant partners who bring them to life. Working with our Senior Sourcing Manager, you'll deliver our sourcing and quality strategy across every Papier channel – D2C, Wholesale and B2B. You'll own your own projects and ranges from first sample to launch: finding the right suppliers, negotiating costs and keeping the critical path on track, so our products land on time, beautifully made and at the right margin.
You'll join a vibrant, energetic (and genuinely fun) team where your voice really counts. This isn't a role on the sidelines – you'll have real influence over product, range and pricing, and a direct impact on how the business performs. It'll suit someone who's confident talking to suppliers, naturally personable and assertive enough to hold firm in a negotiation – someone who loves building relationships as much as landing a great deal. About You
You'll be a great fit if...
• You're an experienced sourcing expert, ideally from a fast-growing business, with a track record of driving cost efficiencies.
• You're a confident, assertive negotiator – comfortable holding your ground with suppliers while keeping relationships strong.
• You're personable and a brilliant communicator, adapting your style for suppliers, printers and colleagues at every level of the business.
• You've managed product development and delivered ranges end to end, including working with offshore suppliers.
• You're analytical and commercially minded – you know how to calculate margin and hit profit and budget targets.
• You move at pace and love solving problems, with a good knowledge of quality management processes.
• Nice to have (not a deal breaker!): experience of managing FSC certification or an understanding of EUDR regulations. What You'll Do
Our Sourcing team sits at the heart of Operations, working hand in hand with Design, Product, Ops and QA to take beautiful stationery from first idea to finished product.
• You'll own your projects and ranges end to end – setting and tracking the critical path so every product hits its launch date, and keeping the business (and timelines) updated if anything slips.
• You'll negotiate the deals that drive our margin – materials, production, labelling and packaging costs, MOQs and payment terms – with new and existing suppliers, making sure contracts or T&Cs are in place before any order is placed.
• You'll find new suppliers and build long-term partnerships – looking at business profile, factory audits, quality systems, service levels and sustainable procurement to keep improving lead times, costs and products, with supplier and printer visits when needed.
• You'll work closely with Design on NPD, suggesting materials and influencing product changes that keep our ranges beautiful and hitting the right margin.
• You'll partner with our Print Partners on production costs, print NPD and improvement projects – managing print quality and bringing in new processes where they're needed.
• You'll champion quality – working with QA and third-party experts to make sure products meet spec, reduce returns and put charge-back mechanisms in place for poor-quality products.
• You'll lead our sustainability initiatives, including FSC certification and EUDR compliance – a real chance to shape how Papier sources responsibly as we grow.
