Lucky Saint – Quality Manager
Reporting to: Head of Brewing
The Opportunity:
We are looking for a Quality Manager to join the team at Lucky Saint as we continue our mission to become the defining alcohol-free beer, and Quality is everything to the success of this plan! Working as part of the Brewing Quality and Dispense team, you will be responsible for ensuring every Lucky Saint meets the highest standards of quality, from grain to glass. You will manage and continually improve our Quality Management Systems and work closely with both our internal team and external supply chain partners to build capability and raise the bar on quality.
Our founder, Luke Boase, launched Lucky Saint in late 2018 with an ambition to change the perception of alcohol-free beer and the drinking experience, worldwide. We are a team who passionately care about the brand and maintaining exceptionally high standards at all touch points of the business. This is a unique opportunity for someone who is passionate about outstanding beer quality, curious, entrepreneurial, commercial and excited to spearhead a revolution in the industry with us.
A day in the life in this role:
No two days are the same. One morning, you could be reviewing the latest quality data from our brewing partners, ensuring products conform to specification and identifying trends and opportunities for improvement. You may then review any new quality-related complaints, investigating them through to resolution, and prepare samples for our internal Sensory Panel to taste later in the day.
On another day, you could be working alongside our brewing partners to implement process and quality improvements, or spending time out in trade with our Beer Dispense Technicians to support customers and monitor quality. You will also spend time with our On Trade team, building their knowledge and capability in beer quality and working together to ensure every pint of Lucky Saint tastes outstanding.
This is a Hybrid role with regular travel to our brewing partners and suppliers. You will be expected to travel to our home at the Lucky Saint pub in Marylebone, London, at least once per week. Typically expect to be travelling to brewery and supplier sites between 10-30% of the time.
Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and administer the internal Lucky Saint Sensory Panel.
- Manage product conformance to specification with our brewing partners.
- Analyse, interpret and communicate Quality KPI performance to drive informed decision-making.
- Identify, prioritise and deliver quality improvement initiatives across the end-to-end supply chain.
Quality and Capability Development: Support the wider internal team and our external partners to raise the bar on quality.
- Build strong working relationships with our suppliers, partnering with them to drive continuous quality improvement through KPI reviews and audits.
- Work closely with our On Trade team to build their capability and develop Quality standards and protocols for enhancing quality in the On Trade.
- Trial and Change Management – Support the delivery of quality and efficiency improvements in our breweries through robust trial management. Ensure success criteria are clearly set and managed through to implementation.
- New Product Development – Support the team with delivery of new innovations, ensuring quality criteria are understood and signed off to deliver a successful launch.
- Technical Innovations – Identify and lead technical innovation projects that improve product quality, process capability or consumer experience.

- Champion a culture where quality is everyone's responsibility.
Who you are – it would be great if you:
- Strong technical understanding of Quality Management principles, demonstrated through previous experience of managing quality within FMCG.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working within an industrial brewery environment, including experience of Packaging and On Trade operations.
- A technical brewing related qualification is preferred, e.g. Level 4 Brewer Apprenticeship, CIBD General Certificate or Diploma in Brewing.
