Lucky Saint – Senior Beer Dispense Technician

Reporting to: Head of Brewing

The Opportunity:

We are looking for a Senior Beer Dispense Technician to join the team at Lucky Saint as we continue our mission to become the defining alcohol-free beer. Working as part of the Brewing Quality and Dispense team, you will line manage a Beer Dispense Technician, have responsibility for managing the quality of draught Lucky Saint in trade and support the wider team in building capability and raising the bar on quality. The role is hands-on; you will carry out technical jobs within On Trade customer accounts while also having direct line management responsibility for a Beer Dispense Technician. We will need you to be based within close proximity to London due to the location of most of the pubs that you will be servicing.

We are a team who passionately care about the brand and maintaining exceptionally high standards at all touch points of the business. We’re interested in people who want to spearhead a revolution in the industry with us, who are curious, entrepreneurial, commercial and restless to make magic happen.

Our founder, Luke Boase, launched Lucky Saint in late 2018 with an ambition to change the perception of alcohol-free beer and the drinking experience, worldwide. Since the launch of our 0.5% Superior Unfiltered Lager, Lucky Saint has received widespread attention from top industry professionals, the UK’s best operators, and the media.

A day in the life in this role:

You might start by reviewing information from customers and our Sales team to prioritise customer needs and plan upcoming work, ensuring your team has the right equipment and stock to complete scheduled jobs. As a line manager, you’ll check in regularly with the Beer Dispense Technician through regular 1-to-1s, to check on their wellbeing, progress with goals, coaching and supporting their growth.

You may then have some jobs to complete in trade, installing or troubleshooting draught Lucky Saint lines in On Trade accounts, and ensuring the beer is served perfectly. You’ll lead the roll out of Superior Serve into customer accounts, our stamp of quality excellence for draught Lucky Saint, and you will train bar staff on Lucky Saint to build engagement and knowledge of the brand.

Across the week, you’ll connect with external dispense partners to build strong relationships and partnerships. You’ll also join our internal sensory panel, collaborate with the Sales team on beer quality and dispense training, and you’ll shape the future of draught alcohol-free beer through leadership of projects exploring new draught dispense solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead R&D projects related to new dispense processes and technologies.
  • Attend product tasting sessions as part of our internal sensory panel. Assist Head of Brewing with maintaining the sample cellar and leading sensory panel sessions.
