As The Lucky Saint Pub Bar Manager, you’ll be the driving force behind the bar’s success— leading the team, curating our drinks offer, and maintaining high standards of service and profitability. You’ll work closely with the AGM and GM to elevate the guest experience while relieving senior leadership of day-to-day bar responsibilities. This role is perfect for someone with strong leadership, stock control, and drinks knowledge who thrives in a fast-paced, high-standard environment.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Training

• Lead, coach, and develop the bar team and supervisors to deliver exceptional service
• Uphold and train team on drink specs, service standards, and customer experience
• Manage rotas, holidays, and team performance in collaboration with the AGM

Bar Operations

• Oversee daily bar operations and ensure the bar is consistently set up for success
• Ensure all checklists (opening, closing, cleaning, prep) are completed daily
• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised bar environment

Drinks Offer & Experience

• Work with GM and AGM to develop and maintain an exceptional drinks list
• Maintain high product knowledge and inspire the team through tastings and briefings
• Ensure perfect serves and consistent quality across all products

Stock & Ordering

• Manage bar stock levels, ordering, deliveries, and rotation with minimal wastage
• Conduct regular line checks, stock takes, and variance analysis
• Work closely with suppliers and reps to ensure best pricing and product quality

Financial Performance

• Monitor bar GP, wastage, and upselling to maximise profitability
• Contribute to monthly P&L reviews with GM and AGM
• Identify opportunities to drive revenue (e.g., specials, events, upselling incentives)

Compliance & Licensing

• Ensure the bar is always compliant with licensing laws, health & safety, and hygiene standards
• Act as a key holder and duty manager when required

About You

• 2+ years of experience in a senior bar role in a quality-led venue
• Passion for a career in hospitality
• Proven people management skills and a calm, confident leadership style
• Strong knowledge of beer, wine, cocktails, and spirits
• Organised, proactive, and solutions-focused with excellent attention to detail
• Passionate about creating brilliant guest experiences and developing teams
• Experience with Market Man or similar stock platform
