Finance Manager (CPG Scale-Up)

The Role:

We're looking for a Finance Manager to take ownership of our finance function and run it hands-on, in the detail, day to day.

XOXO is scaling fast across the UK and Europe, and there's a complex finance function to build here. You'll report straight to our co-founder and CFO and own the ledgers, the close, the controls, the compliance and the reporting, with an outsourced bookkeeping team behind you. If you love getting your hands dirty ensuring the books are closed on time, building systems & controls, and imposing order in a fast-moving business, read on.

What You'll Be Doing (Key Accountabilities)

Inventory & Systems (Core): Own Unleashed (ERP) and Xero (GL) and their integration, so stock maps cleanly to the general ledger. Stock is our largest asset; you keep it accurate. This is your first and biggest win.

Month-End Close: Deliver a reliable five-working-day month-end close, and build the timetable that keeps it there. Timely, accurate management accounts the founders and investors can trust.

Financial Control & Process: Design and roll out real controls and SOPs across the business, from PO to final reconciliation. Manage our outsourced bookkeeping agency and own the quality of what they deliver.

Multi-Entity & VAT: Run monthly consolidation across our UK (GBP) and Dutch (EUR) entities. Own VAT compliance across the UK, Germany, Austria and the Netherlands, plus OSS.

Working Capital: Tight control of inventory, receivables and payables. Protect cash, minimise stock risk.

Margin & Analysis (the 20%): Build and report on gross margin reporting by flavour, channel (D2C vs Retail) and market. Own the annual budget and rolling forecast, and maintain a financial model.

Who We Need

The Qualification: ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified, or a finalist / qualified-by-experience with a strong track record in a comparable role.

Stock-Native: You know inventory accounting, COGS, landed costs and high-volume stock cold. CPG/FMCG is a strong plus, but we're open to candidates with experience in other inventory-heavy, multi-entity, multi-currency worlds: food & drink adjacent, fashion, e-commerce, or manufacturing.

Technical Stack: Comfortable with multi-currency accounting and consolidation. Xero, and strong Excel skills are essential. Unleashed experience is welcome; Power Query / Power BI a bonus as we build out our reporting stack.

Hands-On Builder: You live in the detail and don't mind transactional work. You spot what needs tightening, do it, and don't wait to be asked. You can explain finance plainly to non-finance founders.
