Summer Intern – Payments Team
£12.21 per hour | London-based (hybrid)
Training starts mid-June | Full-time
We're looking for friendly and detail oriented summer interns to join our Payments team. You’ll play a key role in supporting our childminders through one of our busiest times of year helping them with all things billing, from invoices and funding to contract updates and rate changes.

What you’ll be doing
You’ll join our Payments team to support the increased volume we see over summer, helping childminders with day-to-day billing and payment queries. You’ll:
Handle contract requests and complete manual data entry
Answer messages from childminders via Intercom (our customer messaging tool)
Support the payments phone line, helping childminders with questions about funding, payments, invoices, contracts, local authority paperwork, and more
Complete regular reconciliations and headcounts (data entry tasks)
Help us keep everything organised, accurate and running smoothly
What we’re looking for
You’re available for two weeks of in-person training in our London office (Monday–Wednesday and Friday) starting mid-June
You can work full-time through July and August, including the August bank holiday
You can travel into the office around once a week after training
You’re comfortable speaking to customers on the phone
You’ve got a quiet environment to work from home, and a strong internet connection
You’ve got great attention to detail and strong maths skills
You understand what good customer service looks like
Previous experience in a customer-facing role (even at a café or shop!) is a bonus
We’ll ask for a DBS check if you’re offered the role, and you’ll need to give your consent for us to carry this out.
