Shift pattern: 40 hours per week - Saturday 06:00 - 18:00, Sunday through Monday 18:00 - 06:00, plus two mid-week eight hour shifts on either days, afternoons or nights depending on business needs.

Join our snack-loving team
We’re looking for a Recycling Team Member to join us at KP Snacks. If you’re ready to bring your ideas to the table, grow your skills and be part of a team that values what makes you, you – this could be your next big move.

About the role

As a Recycling Team Member, you’ll play an important role in keeping our site clean, safe and running efficiently. You’ll manage a range of waste streams across our manufacturing and warehouse areas and operate recycling equipment including balers, compactors, forklifts and ride‑on machinery. This is a hands-on and physically active role where you’ll follow structured waste‑removal schedules, support the Hygiene Manager and work independently while maintaining high standards. You’ll also help keep waste areas clean and organised, ensure equipment is operated safely and deliver a reliable, efficient service that supports our wider site operations.

What’s in it for you?
We believe in rewarding our colleagues and helping them thrive. Here’s a flavour of what we offer:

  • Comprehensive healthcare support – including Medicash Health Cash Plan, Digital GP, Best Doctors second opinion service and specialist cancer care

  • KP Pension Plan – contribution matching up to 7% of your salary

  • 25 days holiday, plus the option to buy more

  • KP4ME – our online platform for benefits, discounts, wellbeing tools and more

What will you be doing?

  • Remove waste from all factory areas safely and promptly, using MHE such as forklifts and ride-on equipment

  • Operate recycling equipment, including balers, compactors and food waste systems

  • Bale and prepare recyclable materials, loading completed bales directly onto trailers

  • Keep waste and recycling areas clean, tidy and well‑organised, following clear standards and schedules

  • Support the recycling and hygiene teams, assisting drivers and colleagues, and reporting maintenance or repair needs quickly

Who are we?
We’re KP Snacks, part of the Intersnack family. Across more than 30 countries, over 15,000 of us work together to make the snacks people love – from Hula Hoops to McCoy’s. In the UK, we’re a team of around 2,400 colleagues, based across seven sites and our Slough HQ. We’re proud of our close-knit culture, where we speak up, celebrate differences and push boundaries together.

We’re committed to inclusion
We’re building a workplace where everyone belongs. If you don’t tick every box, we’d still love to hear from you – your unique perspective could be just what we need. And if there’s anything we can do to make the process easier for you, just let us know.

Job requirements

We’d love to hear from you if you can bring:

  • Experience operating balers, compactors or similar industrial cleaning/recycling equipment

  • Knowledge of CoSHH and manual-handling best practice (training provided where needed)

  • Strong attention to detail, clear communication skills and confidence working independently

  • Flexibility and readiness to support a busy manufacturing environment

  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role

  • Counterbalance forklift and ride‑on MHE experience (or willingness to train)

  • Reliability, punctuality and a positive, team‑focused approach
