WHAT WE NEED YOU TO DO

We are looking for a Business Developer Manager to co-lead our OOH and Foodservice channel in Spain. This role will be responsible for driving distribution and sales with enthusiasm and passion for Oatly’s purpose, mission, and values. Reporting to the Food Service Manager, the position exists to create the Oatly experience in Madrid, drive sales, build market share, and increase brand awareness while establishing long-term relationships with key customers within the foodservice and OOH channel.

Here’s the main elements of the role...

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Out-of-Home (OOH) channel.
  • Strengthen and grow existing key client relationships to maximize their potential.
  • Build long-term partnerships with strategic key accounts and drive brand visibility with full activation at points of sale.
  • Support and collaborate with distributors through training, field visits, and joint prospecting.
  • Address distribution gaps by onboarding new partners and developing strategic collaborations.
  • Monitor distributor performance and implement tailored action plans.
  • Track key metrics such as revenue, margins, and volumes.
  • Share market insights and competitive intelligence; report activities in CRM.
  • Contribute to regional commercial strategy and support the team during events and ad hoc initiatives.

In this role, you will report to the Food Service Manager and be based in Madrid, Spain.

WHAT WE NEED YOU TO BRING TO THE TABLE

We are looking for you who has a minimum 3 years proven experience in business development, ideally in the food industry or HoReCa sector. We also see that you are creative, resilient and purpose-driven — passionate about people and sustainability.

Other key competencies & experiences:

  • Strong hunting, negotiation and client relationship skills.
  • Autonomous, detail-oriented, and proactive.
  • Analytical skills and ability to understand and anaylize sales and market data.
  • Good knowledge of the local economic landscape.
  • Proficient with CRM tools and Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driver’s license – travel required.
