Full-Stack Engineer (Operations)
Build the internal systems that quietly power Healf’s growth. You’ll turn complex operations into simple, scalable tools that help teams move faster, smarter, and with fewer errors.
Build the Future of Wellbeing
Do Your Life’s Best Work
If modern wellbeing were redesigned from scratch, it wouldn’t live in a GP’s office or a cluttered supplement aisle. It would be digital-first, beautifully curated, and powered by data that actually helps you feel your best.
That’s what we’re building at Healf. An ecommerce platform at the intersection of personalised health and curated wellbeing. We connect customers with the world’s most effective products across EAT, MOVE, MIND, and SLEEP, and we’re just getting started.
We combine culture-shaping storytelling, cutting-edge health tech (like our new blood testing platform, Healf Zone), and a best-in-class product experience to help people build rituals that work.
Backed by investors behind Soho House, Alo Yoga, Cult Beauty, and Innocent, we’re scaling fast, and redefining how the world shops and lives well.
About Us
At Healf, we’re not just a company, we’re a movement. Founded by two brothers whose own wellbeing journeys inspired our mission to empower others, Healf is built on grit, determination, and a shared understanding of the power of wellbeing.
Our culture is grounded in The Healf Standard—five principles that define how we work and win:
• We Work Harder Than Anyone Else: Building something that improves lives takes long hours, grit, and sacrifice, but we thrive on it. We all feel energised by what we’re building.
• Never Settle: We challenge the status quo and push ourselves to be better every day. We never settle for mediocrity or the idea that something can’t be done.
• Obsession Over Talent: Talent alone isn’t enough—relentless curiosity and a drive to grow set us apart.
• The Healf Lifestyle: We live what we preach—our personal commitment to wellbeing fuels our professional productivity.
• Stronger Together: Everyone owns their lane, but we run as a unit.
With Healf Zone on the horizon, we’re entering the next phase of our journey: closing the loop on health with personalised, preventative care that unlocks longevity and optimised wellbeing. This is your chance to help build something that’s not only extraordinary, but a first of its kind.
The Role
As Healf scales towards 250,000+ monthly orders and international expansion, the complexity of our operations grows exponentially. Today, many of our most important workflows - replenishment, logistics, finance, compliance, and supplier operations - depend on custom internal tooling.
We need dedicated engineering capability within the Operations team to focus on strategic, high-impact technical work. This role exists to help build the internal systems that quietly power Healf’s growth. As a Full-Stack Operations Engineer, you’ll work at the intersection of software engineering and real-world operations, designing and building systems that materially change how the business runs.
Where You’ll Make An Impact
You’ll be a key contributor to the technology stack, with responsibility for building reliable, scalable internal tools that support our operations and partners.
Specifically, you will:
Design, build, and maintain internal tools and automations that improve supply-chain efficiency, reduce manual work, and increase data accuracy.
Collaborate closely with Operations, Finance, Compliance, and Brand Partners to deeply understand workflows, pain points, and constraints.
Own projects end-to-end: system design, implementation, testing, deployment, and iteration.
Build dashboards and data-driven interfaces that help teams make faster, better decisions.
Proactively identify opportunities to improve or reimagine existing operational processes.
Help lay the technical foundations that enable Healf to scale to >250,000 monthly orders and support international expansion.
Your ultimate goal is to deliver systems that allow the business to move faster, operate more reliably, and get products to customers cheaper, quicker, and with fewer errors.
What Success Looks Like
Operational teams trust and rely on the tools you build.
Manual workflows are replaced with automated, resilient systems.
Complex operational problems are solved with simple, intuitive software.
New growth initiatives are enabled rather than blocked by technology.
Systems scale smoothly as order volumes and markets increase.
What You’ll Bring
Experience & Background
Strong full-stack software development experience (required).
Experience building internal tools, operational systems, or data-driven applications (strongly preferred).
Exposure to supply-chain, logistics, finance, or other operational domains is a plus—but not required if you’re eager to learn.
Technical Requirements
This role requires strong end-to-end engineering capability, with a focus on production-ready systems.
-
Cloud & Infrastructure
AWS services (e.g. Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, SES, API Gateway)
Serverless architectures
Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) is preferred
-
Backend
Node.js (TypeScript preferred)
REST and/or GraphQL APIs
Background jobs, event-driven workflows, and automations
Data modelling and system design
-
Frontend
React and Next.js
Focus on usability, performance, and maintainability
Building internal tools with thoughtful UX
-
Engineering Practices
CI/CD pipelines
Logging, monitoring, and observability
Testing and security best practices
Traits & Habits We’re Looking For
To succeed in this role and thrive at Healf, you’ll need to be:
-
Deeply Curious & Willing to Learn
This is an applied engineering role. You’ll be building systems that directly change how people work, so understanding operations is just as important as writing good code.
-
Comfortable with Feedback & Iteration
We push boundaries and write our own playbook. That means experimenting, learning from mistakes, and continuously improving.
-
Adaptable & Comfortable with Ambiguity
We solve real business problems, often under time pressure. You should be comfortable diving into unfamiliar domains and figuring things out as you go.
-
Detail-Oriented with a Bias Toward Delivery
Operational systems need to work. Reliability, correctness, and follow-through matter as much as elegant design.
