The Role
As Manager, Commercial Incentives, you own the design, evolution and day-to-day operation of Deliveroo’s commercial compensation schemes. This includes commission-based sales incentives and KPI-driven account management bonus plans across all markets.
You partner closely with local commercial leadership to ensure incentive schemes align with Deliveroo’s business and financial objectives. You ensure schemes are clear, consistent, and embedded into day-to-day commercial operations.
You are responsible for the design and evolution of Deliveroo’s commercial incentives framework, improving design, tooling, and scalability over time. In this capacity you will work closely with the wider Deliveroo compensation and benefits team. Supported by a Program Manager and Analysts you are accountable for executing the schemes end-to-end, to include performance tracking, payout calculations, governance, and issue resolution.
You sit within the Commercial Operations team, working alongside teams focused on providing commercial insight, learning and development and change management to enable frontline commercial teams globally.
What you’ll be responsible for:
1.Own the design and evolution of commercial incentive schemes
Lead the design and ongoing evolution of commission and KPI-based incentive schemes across markets, defining metrics, weightings, thresholds, accelerators, and payout structures.
Ensure incentive schemes align to commercial strategy, financial targets, and risk appetite.
Model proposed schemes under multiple performance scenarios to assess cost exposure, payout distribution, and behavioural impact.
Own the governance framework for commercial compensation, including documentation standards, approval processes, and control mechanisms.
Act as the primary point of accountability for incentive accuracy, consistency, and operational reliability.
2.Execute schemes with accuracy and integrity
Oversee the ongoing management and administration of all commercial incentive schemes, ensuring accurate, consistent, and timely payout.
Lead monthly and quarterly incentive calculations in partnership with local leadership, managing exceptions, validating outputs, and maintaining high data quality standards.
Design, document, and maintain scalable processes for target setting, scheme execution, and performance validation.
Own incentive performance reporting, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to refine scheme effectiveness.
Resolve operational or structural issues that undermine trust in compensation outcomes.
3.Improve how scheme are delivered and managed through tooling and process
Build and improve workflows that streamline incentive management and reduce manual effort.
Partner with Product and Technology teams to improve processes with scalable, user-friendly systems.
Define clear functional requirements for incentive tooling based on operational needs and commercial use cases.
Drive standardisation where appropriate, balancing global consistency with local flexibility.
Continuously evaluate scheme effectiveness and recommend improvements based on data, market feedback, and business performance.

Incentive schemes are trusted, accurate, and paid on time.
Local commercial leaders clearly understand scheme mechanics and implications.
New incentive schemes can be launched efficiently and consistently across markets.
Incentive costs are predictable and well governed.
Manual, spreadsheet-driven processes are progressively replaced with scalable systems.

Commercial judgment: Understands the commercial and financial implications of incentive design. Able to assess trade-offs and recommend pragmatic solutions.
